A Mix For Mongos

We had the pleasure of having Fran Hartnett down to play at one of our parish fundraisers nearly a year ago. Sweatbox. That is all need to say.

The more miscreant among you might be familiar with Mongo. A regular all dayer event that pops up on Bank Holiday weekends. The past wee while has seen it take over the Grand Social. To get around our obnoxious licensing laws it starts early and packs some serious clubbing in before we are all turfed out to the night.

The name is apt. As one lad said to me at the last one I attended: “do you see your man? His jaw is taking him for a walk. He’s like Lego. Out of his box and totally in bits.” Pure rolling Dublin session wit.

Check out this interview with Dublin rave veteran Fran Hartnett over here and enjoy his mix from the last Mongo Below.
