Kit Ní Chaomhanaigh contacted us to say she became suspicious of photographs of an apartment she hoped to view.

Reverse image searching matched them with luxury apartments in Bucharest, however on Daft.ie they were purporting to be for a 2-bed flat in Charlemont St., Dublin 2.

The advertiser is Fabian Hamilton and the same name is listed as the advertiser of a property in Cork on Property.ie although with an amended email address fabianhamilton7@gmail.com and fabianhamilton4@gmail.com. The Charlemont St. flat is also listed in MyHome.ie with a fabianhamilton2@hotmail.com address.  Unsurprisingly the rather plush looking apartment in Cork also has photos that appear to be from Romanian apartments.

Kit pointed out that talking to one landlord recently he said the rental market is so tight now people were putting deposits down on apartments without actually viewing them, if fake photographs are being used it can have serious consequences.
