Between the Vivian Maier  documentary in the IFI this month, the launch of Wally Cassady’s latest book and this lad here: it seems we really can’t get enough of people taking sneaky snaps.

Well, as long as it’s not us in the frame. The people putting this new exhibition of Irish street photographers together uploaded  a sweet little video of  all the nail hammering, wobbly frame fixing and dusting that’s needed to set up such an event. One of the organisers, Peter O’Doherty (known to most as Dotsy…) also gave us some background on the affair:

“Myself and Des Byrne who runs the ISPG (Irish Street photography group) decided it would be a good idea to showcase the best of Irish street photography. The group was set up to improve the standard of Irish Street photography on the world stage. The exhibition will show the works of 47 street photographers from all levels of photography. The photographs were submitted through a process and were judged by independent street photography judges.”

It kicks off in the Culture Box tomorrow night and is open to the public from Friday and runs til the 22nd.
