Reader Sean Fitzgerald just sent this in. It’s an hour long recording of a discussion where the Grangegorman squatters outline their vision for the occupied space to members of the broader community and talk about activities in the space.

The chat covers topics as diverse as guerrilla composting, free theatre and how you can build a 2 bedroom modern appartment with underfloor heating (powered by horseshit and wood chip) right in the middle of Stoneybatter.

An appeal went up on their Facebook page for more support a few hours ago:

“Good morning to all our friends and allies. As you can tell by the picture, the residents are very anxious about the upcoming court case today. Yesterday was a great day on the street and we got an overwhelmingly positive response from the local community. We will be on Brunswick Street and the Lower Grangegorman Road handing out info and chatting to people if you would like to drop by. Even if all you want is to call us free loading hippies, we’ll still let you have a biscuit, but it’ll cost ya wink emoticon.”

The photo  above comes from the Grangegorman Facebook page. Keep up-to-date with what’s happening down at the squat via their Facebook page.
