So the Irish tech community is in a bit of a fluster as web summit chief Paddy Cosgrave takes his big, brash ball to Lisbon.
Not to worry though, we’ve spotted this slightly off the radar gathering of open source geeks will be descending on us instead.
What is it? Well its actually a pretty prestigious event in the web development scene. Drupal is damn handy piece of underlying architecture for sites of all shapes and sizes. Think of the gathering as do-gooders coming together to improve the overall platform and share knowledge.
“DrupalCon is the name given to global conferences where thousands of Drupal developers, system engineers, designers, project managers, functional analysts, documentation specialists, media, and business people gather to participate in learning sessions, talks, code sprints, and social events. DrupalCons are held two to three times a year in different parts of the world and are organized under the auspices of the Drupal Association in conjunction with local Drupal resources to the particular conference.”
