Here’s the helicopter view of what’s happening this morning regarding the last few seats in the 2016 General Election.

What feels like the fourth week of Dublin Bay North count continues this morning, so here’s the state of play.

John Lyons’ elimination is expected see his transfers boost Denise Mitchell of SF and also go to Independent Finian McGrath and former Labourite Tommy Broughan.

Broughan left Labour in 2011 over their extending of Bank Guarantee scheme.

The unknown is how many of Lyons’ votes will transfer to his eliminated AAA-PBP running mate and how many will be non-transferable.

It is not expected that many will transfer to O’Riordáin of Labour – who, despite a gap of 900 from elimination in the 14th count, has always looked to be in trouble.

If he fails to get elected then Labour look likely to lose speaking rights in the next Dáil unless Willie Penrose pulls it out of the fire in

….and breaking news Willie has pulled 2 votes clear of James Bonkers Bannon.

Full recount called by Fine Gael in Longford Westmeath!

UPDATE: 12.25pm O’Riordáin has been eliminated.
