What’s up homies?  You’re spolit for choice for club action this weekend. Just remember to go home.  It’s Record Store Day on Saturday and there’s a string of events taking place across Dublin.

Friday has two leftfield house DJs Seth Troxler and Dana Ruh taking charge in District 8 and Bar Tengu respectively. Dana Ruh is a resident at the intimate Berlin venue Club der Visionaere and our pick of the weekend. It’s being brought to you by Zehr Gut, a new project of Homebeat and Goethe Institut to promote German DJs and artists in Ireland.

While Club der Visionaere and Dana Ruh are pretty low key, former CDV resident Seth Troxler seems to enjoy the attention he gets, check out his dance moves below, and a great new mix from Dana Ruh here.

Influential techno producer Jeroen Search is playing Hangar tonight and down in Cork a Techno Fridays double header of Neil Landstrumm and John Heckle.

On Saturday, Jim Carroll will host Neneh Cherry for a Banter session before she plays Wigwam later that night. As it’s Record Store Day there will be loads on during the day.

The Record Spot and The R.A.G.E. are having a street party with bands and DJs plus a load of giveaways. They’re teaming up with the monthly Telephones gig for an after party in Bar Tengu.

All City Records also have an instore party during the day, at a minimum they promise tunes and balloons! Later on they’re teaming up with the Betty crew in Bernard Shaw bringing you tunes ’til late.

Out west, Epoch are throwing a Dimensions launch party with John Heckle, check the event page for details and some RSD vinyl giveaways.

While Saturday night promises to be a heavy affair, Heckle is hanging around for his third set of the weekend(!) – a more slightly more easy going extended set with Epoch residents in the Garden on Sunday. Here’s a taste of what to expect at each:

Also on Saturday, Republik welcome the legendary Scottish duo Slam back to Waterford. Going for 25 years with Soma Quality Recordings, they’ve great releases, quality DJ sets and run an excellent radio show. Well worth your money.
