We’re digging out our sunglasses and demanding umbrellas in our mojitos, it’s the May bank holiday weekend!

Tonight in Wigwam there’s a tribute for DJ Rashad and all the footworkerz, check it. In Turk’s Head new crew Better Living have Fran Hartnett  to inaugurate their Basement Series. For some quality disco, head on over to The Grand Social where Nightflight are back with Marcel Vogel on duty.

Also on tonight in The Sugar Club is a free party for the District Magazine launch, with Belfast’s Space Dimension Controller. However, Fridays recommendation is definitely the Diskotekken & Membership double-header with Asquith, Ethyl & Flori. See the facebook for what they have in store.

Tomorrow, Kompakt owner Michael Mayer brings quality techno from the Robert Johnson to Pygmalion; he plays for four hours and there’s great support on the night from Aaron Nolan.

Local techno label Vision Collector are celebrating their next releases with DJ Pete in the Button Factory, while Altern8 smash Hangar – top one, nice one! Last but not least, Donal Dineen hosts Backstory no.4 with special guest Joniiiiii.

The Betty crew are in the Shaw again this Sunday from early on to ease you into it. Later that night, Chris Liebing returns to Dublin to play the Button Factory. Still not sure? Our party recommendation this weekend is Out To Lunch in Tengu – Honey Sound System, Octo Octa and Cáit (of Dip fame) and more!

Also on this weekend over in Galway, Disconauts Electric present Kon, for all your disco needs. Though if you’re more dub than disco, there’s a bank holiday weekender featuring Mala, Rosco, Bob and Welfare.
