“Today we lost a brother. The original defender Chris Pish. Wherever you are raise a glass to him. Taken Away too soon.”

Chris Piscitelli the 36-year-old resident of Red Hook, Brooklyn, who died in New York Presbyterian Hospital of cancer, managed and tended bar at the Thomas House in Dublin from 2008 to 2011.

Chris will be well known to many readers. An ebullient and vivacious character, he made an immediate impression on newcomers and was a friend to regulars.

The bar will close its doors Wednesday — the same day as Chris’s funeral.

  1. That’s terrible news. A bunch of us played with B-Music at Thomas House from 2008 to 2010. Have great memories of many deadly nights (long ones!) with Chris and his crew. RIP and condolences to his family.
