A city festival in Dublin, Gash gets going in Cork and Sweeneys will survive the weekend.

A festival in the city this weekend, Interlude festival that is, with Billy Scurry, Kelly Anne Byrne, Tonie Walsh and Fish Go Deep. It takes place in the RHA Gallery & Ely Place where there’s plenty of space for movies, art, a food garden and record store.

Tonight in the basement of Sweeneys with “two steel turntables, one dark basement, zero lights”, it was due to be the last FREE TECHNO party in the venue. However, it seems there are new owners and it will continue on as Sweeneys. Woo! Celebrate the good news there tonight for free.

In Cork tomorrow the Gash Collective are starting strong. They have decided to throw a free party and they have a top line-up: Cailín, Lolz and Ellll. Check it out here to stick your name down.

Vision Collector continue their series of events in slightly offbeat venues, this time they’ve chosen Platform 61 on South William Street. Across the city, and our choice for the weekend, Maurice Fulton plays in Wigwam. Another quality booking by Discotekken there. In the same venue the Betty crew will hold down the cafe all night, celebrate your Pride weekend in style.

On Sunday, the generous folk at District 8 are having a BYOB day with DJs, a barbeque and a big screen for the Ireland match.
