As part of our social meeja push for our Culture Night shindig in September, Giles Armstrong and Simon Conway shared some Electric City memories and tracks with us ahead of the night itself in Jigsaw.

Alas, Murphy’s law of course. The site went bang crash bang wallop and we hadn’t the time to fix it with all the  pre-gig madness.

So here they are on the blog for the first, the two boys taking us back to the sounds of Electric City with a few words on each platter.

What a night it was. We dressed up as media barons, the dance got rammed and our wee sound system was put through its paces.

Ticket sales are going steady for the next wee party our Auntie Pattie is organising for March 17th.

Its not the usual suspects either, so don’t wait it out if you want in.

Now, over to the boys…

Simon Conway’s Selection

“Carl Finlow tracks summed up the ‘first hour of ec’. playing deep electro to the Metropolitan Bar Staff.”

“DJ Rush doing disco down in wax”

“Legowelt brought the machines for his first show here. or something.”

“IF dropped this when he played traffic first time round.”

“and then it did.”

Giles Armstrong’s Selection

“Our first ever guest remixed by one of our biggest ever guests.”

“Always reminds me of Steve Rachmad and the Metropolitan.”

“Stop the Traffic! We finally got there in the end.”

“Last ever track played at an EC night and I’ve the tattoo to prove it.”
